A Summer Fragrance for those Balmy Days and Nights

The creation of a fragrance is a complicated procedure and perfumers work hard to get that combination just so to provide a specific scent. You will find that there are varying fragrances that suit different seasons of the year as well as for different parts of the day. So what is a summer fragrance?

Summer fragrances for the daytime tend to have subtle notes of various summer flowers, herbs and spices, and the evening summer perfumes may see similar scents but with slightly heavier notes. These perfumes match the mood of the season, however, some varieties tend to be on the sweet side, so a bit of research beforehand will be necessary if sweet, flowery scents are not for you.

Popular summer fragrances include Elizabeth W Magnolia Eau de Parfum, which contains saffron, sandalwood and a hint of white magnolia and gardenia providing a warm, aromatic scent. This summer fragrance is very affordable and will easily see you through the season.

Another popular summer fragrance is Bobbi Brown's Almost Bare eau de parfum. This fragrance uses soothing ingredients such as bergamot and violet leaves blended just so to give a minimal yet beautiful and enticing floral scent. Almost Bare is also another popular summer fragrance.

Finally, if you enjoy soft, fruity scents you may wish to try the Body Shop's Love Etc. Eau de Parfum. This fragrance has been likened to Givenchy Summer Edition and is popular with young women due its fruity notes and light fragrance. The only downside to this fragrance is that it tends to disappear rather fast, so you may find that you are getting through the bottle faster than with other scents.

There are so many fantastic summer fragrances out there that it can be difficult to pin down a favourite. It is worth shopping around at your local stores which usually allow you to try the scents before purchasing. You might enjoy the smell initially, but after a while, it may become a bit sickly or just not to your taste after all. Once you have found your scent, go for the smallest bottle for your first purchase for testing.
