Givenchy Amarige Mariage - Lovely Life

Perfume Amarige Mariage was launched in 2006, as a fragrance dedicated to wedding, a unique moment in life; a fragrance that promotes love and the moment of union. Its name is actually an anagram (Amarige - Mariage) which identifies eternal love with happiness in marriage.

Official notes of the composition are: Sicilian bitter orange and Calabrian bergamot in a top, magnolia, Egyptian jasmine and cinnamon bark in a heart, Siam benzoin, sandalwood and patchouli in base notes. The perfume is available in two versions of its flacon: transparent and elegant glass beauty, decorated with pleat, just like on a wedding dress, with a stopper in similar form, as well as lace-covered edition. Neck of the bottle features a symbolic white gold ring, which reminds of a wedding ring. Outer carton is light green, with white lace decorations.

Bitterish and vigorous in the beginning, explosive, full of sparkling-fresh aromas, this perfume intoxicates and awakes all senses, with discrete cinnamon accords and earthy patchouli which calm down on my skin after a while, and give place to top-class elegant jasmine and magnolia instead. It is a real, floral bliss, which is experienced and with a measure, but not appropriate for weddings.

Why is this perfume intended for a girl with a veil, that is not familiar to me. This is such a complex, but thin fragarnce, a truly harmonic and opulent composition, created perfectly. Powdery aromas accompany the high, floral C, while there is earthy, deep patchouli with a thick trail of spices on the other side and it simply lures you and invites to dive into the fragrant trail...

I would give Amarige Mariage as a gift to a woman who celebrates, say, 10 year of her love, or even silver anniversary; who loves with experience and gives herself completely. I believe this fragrance to be characteristic of happiness and balance of marriage achieved through years ('fight' of masculine resins, woody nuances and patchouli, with thin and gentle, ultra feminine and fragile flowers jasmine and magnolia, which are intechangeable on the skin and disapper one after another), more than for the act of getting married....

If I had to choose a perfume for a wedding, my choice would sooner be the new Absolutely Irresistible, with phenomenal and sweet, 'girlish' jasmine, perfect for delicate, sweet and romantic beggining of togetherness.
